Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR)

The Friends of the Upper Delaware River works to protect preserve and enhance the ecosystem and cold-water fishery of the Upper Delaware River and to address any environmental threats to the area for the benefit of local communities, residents, and visitors to the region. The Code Blue Foundation has provided general support to fund this grass-roots organization helping FUDR become a much-needed leader in the area. FUDR has worked hard and has been successful in forming a strong coalition to help achieve their goals including Trout Unlimited, the National Park Services, Fish and Wildlife Services, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and local townships. Dan serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of FUDR.

Wild Salmon Center

Founded in 1992, the Wild Salmon Center’s mission is to promote the conservation and sustainable use of wild salmon ecosystems across the North Pacific.  WSC leads efforts to conserve the planet’s best wild salmon rivers and most robust salmon populations while they are still healthy and strong, including work in AlaskaBritish ColumbiaWashingtonOregon, and the Western Pacific. Our approach relies on three strategies: 1) protect important habitat; 2) promote sustainable fisheries; and 3) empower local leaders and communities to advocate for the health of their own watersheds. With Code Blue Foundation’s support, WSC collaborates with a wide range of regional, national and international partners and over the last twenty years has protected over 800,000 acres of prime habitat, engaged seven major salmon fisheries in the Marine Stewardship Council’s certification process, and established nine local watershed councils in the Russian Far East. Dan serves on the Wild Salmon Center Board of Directors.
